For Employers

If you're supporting an employee with a disability or health condition, a workplace needs assessment identifies the practical adjustments they need to do their job well. Equipment, environment, working patterns or support, based on a face-to-face or virtual assessment with a qualified assessor.

Most workplace assessment providers specialise in one area, neurodiversity, or vision and hearing loss, or physical disability. AACL is different: one assessor can assess genuinely complex, combined conditions together, a colleague managing dyslexia alongside chronic pain, an employee with hearing loss and ADHD, someone who is deafblind, or any other combination of physical, sensory and neurodivergent conditions, assessed holistically in a single process, with no need to bring in three separate specialists for one employee.

A workplace needs assessment gives you the right adjustments identified properly the first time, rather than guesswork or a slow trial-and-error process. It supports your duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments, helps you retain skilled, experienced staff, and gives managers a clear, written basis for support rather than informal arrangements.

We offer flexible appointment availability, including remote and in-person assessments, with evening and weekend appointments available where needed, so assessments don't have to disrupt the working week.

Assessments are typically commissioned directly by employers, HR teams, or the employee themselves, usually in discussion with their manager. Fees are agreed in advance based on the scope of the assessment and reporting requirements.

Beyond the assessment itself, AACL also offers disability and accessibility awareness training, assistive technology training and coaching, equipment and ergonomic solutions, and ongoing workplace coaching and strategy support. If you'd like to discuss a workplace assessment for your organisation, we welcome you to get in touch.

AACL also offers support beyond the assessment itself.
