Education and DSA Needs Assessments
Access Assessment Centres provide high quality needs assessments for students in higher and further education. Our team has extensive experience across a wide range of disability and long term health conditions.
Our assessors are equipped with a wide range of knowledge of assistive technology to support thorough, informed assessments. This enables us to identify appropriate, practical recommendations that reflect both the demands of the course and the student’s individual circumstances.
We take a supportive and thoughtful approach to every assessment, ensuring students feel listened to and understood. Our aim is to make the process clear, respectful, and collaborative, and to produce reports that accurately reflect each student’s needs.
Access Assessment Centres work with a team of experienced assessors who bring a broad range of knowledge and professional insight to their practice. Our assessors work collaboratively, supported by peer review and robust quality assurance processes, to ensure assessments and reports are clear, accurate, and meet the relevant funding or commissioning requirements.
We offer flexible appointment availability, including appointments outside of standard office hours where required. In some circumstances, urgent appointments can also be arranged.
For students funded through government or other external funding bodies, assessment fees are typically covered by the relevant funder and include the needs assessment and appropriate follow-up support for the duration of the course. We also provide assessments for students funded through research councils, international funding routes, or direct arrangements, where applicable.
We are proud of the positive feedback we receive from students and stakeholders about the assessment experience and the clarity of our reports. If you would like to discuss an assessment or have any questions about eligibility or funding routes, we welcome you to get in touch.
